    Artist: Charlotte Strauss
Title: "Party Ribbon" 12"x16", Oil on Canvas
Bio: Charlotte Strauss is a realist painter working in oils on canvas.  She is a Colorado native currently living and working in Lakewood, Colorado.  Since studying at the University of Colorado and the Bergman School of Art, the Art Students League of Denver has been very instrumental in her artistic growth. “I love working in oils because of the depth and richness of colors that can be achieved.  I build my paintings with layers of color until I have captured the essence of my subject.  I enjoy the creative process and every work is a new adventure.”

Special Notice:
Libby Hart is a SAM fixture, a friendly, deeply respected artist who was just diagnosed with Stage III ovarian cancer.  She is one of our own, and so we are putting together a booth to benefit her.

The "Libby Hart Showcase Booth" will accept donated paintings which will be sold to help her with the staggering expenses that are coming her way.  All artists who donate a painting will be credited, with a label saying something like "Pete Picasso has more paintings at Booth #123".  This way the donations will provide a kind of directory for buyers who are looking for art they like at SAM.

We will have a table set up with further information, and with quilt squares for friends to sign, at the meeting Thursday.

If you have questions before then, please contact Clyde Steadman at clyde@clydesart.com, or Jane Ford at janeford333@hotmail.com
